Work in Progress
I have a fair sized (18 x 24) pastel on the easel right now. It is of two of my greys standing at a hitching post, back-lit. Wonderful play on color and light is emerging. Hopefully, soon, it will be finished. This photo shows a detail of it.

Mermaids and Horses
My father loves to tell the story: "Since Elaine was very little, she has always been drawing. First it was mermaids, then it was horses." Is it any wonder, then, that my work is riddled with fish and horses?
